Hydrologic Outlook issued December 26 at 2:52AM PST by NWS Seattle WAESFSEWAn atmospheric river brought 3 to 5 inches of precipitation to theOlympic mountains Wednesday into Thursday morning with snow levelsaround 4000 feet. While precipitation will be much less with thesystems beginning Friday the lack of much of a break will keeprivers over the Southwest Interior rising into the weekend. It ispossible the lower reaches of the Chehalis could flood Saturday. TheSkookumchuck near Bucoda, Newaukum near Chehalis and the Satsop nearSatsop could reach action stage late Friday into Saturday.Please monitor the latest river forecasts from the National WeatherService for additional information.

High Surf Advisory issued December 26 at 12:08PM PST until December 27 at 10:00AM PST by NWS Seattle WA* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 17 to 22 feet in the surf zone.* WHERE...North Coast zone.* WHEN...Until 10 AM PST Friday.* IMPACTS...Large waves may wash over beaches, jetties, and otherstructures unexpectedly. Localized beach erosion is possible.People can be swept off rocks and jetties, and drown whileobserving high surf.Beachgoers should never turn their back on the ocean and remainalert to surf conditions. Avoid walking on area beaches andjetties. Large waves may cause serious injury or sweep peopleinto dangerous seas.
