Coastal Flood Warning issued November 14 at 9:45PM EST until November 15 at 6:00PM EST by NWS Wakefield VA* WHAT...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, up to one foot ofinundation above ground level in low-lying areas nearshorelines and tidal waterways. For the Coastal Flood Warning,one to two feet of inundation above ground level expected inlow-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.* WHERE...Gloucester, Mathews, York, New Kent, Eastern KingWilliam, and Eastern King and Queen Counties.* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 3 AM EST Friday.For the Coastal Flood Warning, from 3 AM to 6 PM EST Friday.* IMPACTS...Widespread flooding of vulnerable areas will resultin an elevated threat of property damage to homes andbusinesses near the waterfront and shoreline. Water will be 1to 2 feet above ground level in some areas resulting in asufficient depth to close numerous roads and threaten homesand businesses. Flooding will extend inland from thewaterfront along tidal rivers and bays resulting in some roadclosures and flooding of vehicles.Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. Iftravel is required, do not drive around barricades or throughwater of unknown depth.
