Air Quality Alert issued June 19 at 4:30PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PAThe Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection hasissued a code ORANGE air quality alert for Thursday, includingthe greater Pittsburgh region, including Allegheny, Butler,Beaver, Armstrong, Washington, Westmoreland and Fayette counties.A code ORANGE air quality alert means that air pollutionconcentrations within the region may become unhealthy forsensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children, the elderly,and people suffering from asthma, heart disease, or other lungdiseases.
