Air Quality Alert issued June 21 at 9:00AM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PAThe Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection hasissued a code ORANGE air quality alert for Friday, includingthe greater Pittsburgh region, including Allegheny, Butler,Beaver, Armstrong, Washington, Westmoreland and Fayette counties.A code ORANGE air quality alert means that air pollutionconcentrations within the region may become unhealthy forsensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children, the elderly,and people suffering from asthma, heart disease, or other lungdiseases.
