By mid to late morning, through the afternoon,and into the evening, relative humidities are expected to drop aslow as 22 percent. When combined with the very strong winds, anextended period of critical fire weather conditions is likely formost of western and much of central North Dakota on Saturday.* WINDS...West 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 22 percent.* AFFECTED AREA...Most of western and much of central NorthDakota.* IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and becomedifficult to control or suppress.A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditionsare either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination ofstrong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures cancontribute to extreme fire behavior.
