Flood Warning issued September 27 at 3:19PM EDT until September 30 at 11:12PM EDT by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in NorthCarolina...South Fork Catawba River At Lowell affecting Gaston County..Excessive runoff will continue to flow through the South ForkCatawba basin with river levels forecast to rival the 2020 floodlevels.* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding isforecast.* WHERE...South Fork Catawba River at Lowell.* WHEN...Until late Monday evening.* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Moderate Flood Stage. Unusual, damagingflooding is developing adjacent to the South Fork Catawba Riverwith considerable impacts to property. Significant flooding ofGoat Island Park and Riverside Park is ongoing. Floodwaters arethreatening the Cramerton Fire Department and adjacentbusinesses. The river is approaching the crawlspaces of homesalong Riverside Dr between 4th St and 5th St in Cramerton.At 15.5 feet, Major Flood Stage. South Fork Catawba Riverfloodwaters may be inundating the Cramerton Fire Department,Cramerton Drug Store, South Fork Masonic Lodge, and adjacent homesand businesses along 8th Ave. and N. Main St. Floodwaters may beapproaching the Cramerton Police Department.
