Flood Warning issued September 27 at 9:26PM EDT until September 27 at 11:45PM EDT by NWS Raleigh NC* WHAT...Flooding caused by runoff from earlier rainfall continues.* WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including thefollowing county, Wilson.* WHEN...Until 1145 PM EDT.* IMPACTS...Streams remain out of their banks due to excess runofffrom earlier rainfall.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 925 PM EDT, heavy rain from earlier thunderstorms hascaused many creeks and streams to rise out of their banks.Flooding of low-lying areas and roadways continues thisevening.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Wilson, Elm City, Sharpsburg, Lucama, Stantonsburg, BlackCreek, Saratoga, Sims, New Hope, Willbanks and BuckhornReservoir.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flooddeaths occur in vehicles.
