Areas that are not typically impacted byfloodwaters may flood. Numerous landslides are possible in areasof steep terrain. Multiple large, damaging debris flows arelikely.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- Bands of heavy rain will continue to move across the Watcharea through the morning. Ifyou live on a mountainside or in a cove at the base of a mountain,especially near a stream, be ready to leave in advance of the stormor as quickly as possible should rising water, moving earth, orrocks threaten. Consider postponing travel along mountain roadsduring periods of heavy rainfall.Low-lying areas adjacent to streams, including campgrounds, areespecially vulnerable to flooding. If you live or are vacationingnext to a stream, please have a plan in place to seek higher groundonce heavy rainfall develops. Flash floods can occur quickly andoverwhelm adjacent low-lying areas with little warning. Once thestream starts to rise, you may only have minutes to evacuate. Flashfloods can cause catastrophic damage and be powerful enough to sweepaway campers, vehicles, and mobile homes. Consider temporarilyrelocating away from streams until the heavy rainfall threat passes.

Between 4 and 8inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches arepossible as tropical rainbands lift north. Significant floodingappears likely across much of the warned area, with numerous roadclosures and water rescues likely, damage to even well-builtstructures, and standing in low-lying areas.HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding.
