Coastal Flood Advisory issued September 23 at 8:06PM EDT until September 24 at 5:00PM EDT by NWS Newport/Morehead City NC* WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.* WHERE...Areas in North Topsail Beach, along the lower NewRiver, White Oak River, Bogue and Core Sounds, and adjacenttidal creeks.* WHEN...Until 5 PM EDT Tuesday.* IMPACTS...Up to 1 foot of inundation above ground level ispossible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidalwaterways resulting in a low threat of property damage. Someroads and low lying property including parking lots, parks,lawns, and homes adjacent to the waterfront will experienceshallow flooding.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.
