Flooding may occurin poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams arerunning high and could flood with more heavy rain.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- Given recent wet conditions, the ground is saturated andstreamflows are significantly above normal. Much of centralNorth Carolina is susceptible to flash flooding as periods ofheavy rain overspread the region. The heaviest and mostwidespread rain will fall through mid afternoon.
