Coastal Flood Advisory issued September 20 at 3:19PM EDT until September 21 at 3:00AM EDT by NWS Wilmington NC* WHAT...One to two feet of inundation above ground levelexpected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidalwaterways.* WHERE...The lower Cape Fear River including downtownWilmington and Inland Brunswick Counties.* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 3 AM EDT Saturday.* IMPACTS...Portions of Battleship Road and USS North CarolinaRoad may become impassable. In downtown Wilmington, floodingexpands on Water Street from Orange Street to Red CrossStreet. The lowest portions of Water Street between Princessand Orange Streets may become impassable. Flooding worsens onthe lowest spots of River Road and adjacent residential roads,south of River Road Park. Route 133 at Little Mallory Creekmay be flooded. Highway 421 Truck near Carolina Beach Roadbegins to flood. Check with local officials for any roadclosures or impacts.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Affected areas listed are based onaverage tide conditions.
