Coastal Flood Advisory issued September 21 at 8:07PM EDT until September 24 at 2:00AM EDT by NWS Newport/Morehead City NC* WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.* WHERE...Areas in North Topsail Beach, along the lower NewRiver, White Oak River, Bogue and Core Sounds, and adjacenttidal creeks, and areas along the beaches, Pamlico Sound, andadjacent tidal creeks.* WHEN...Until 2 AM EDT Tuesday.* IMPACTS...Up to 2 feet of inundation above ground level ispossible in some areas near shorelines and tidal waterwaysresulting in an elevated threat of property damage, mainlyaround the times of high tide. Some roads and low lyingproperty including parking lots, parks, lawns, and homesadjacent to the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.
