Between 2.5 and 4.5 inches of rain have fallen.The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additionalrainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area.Flash flooding is already occurring.HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producingflash flooding.SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...Franklin, Ahoskie, Murfreesboro, Courtland, Aulander, Boykins,Chowan University, Suffolk, Woodland, Winton, Lewiston Woodville,Cofield, Newsoms, Powellsville, Como, Roduco, Hunterdale, Sedley,Union and Severn.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
