Coastal Flood Advisory issued September 20 at 4:47AM EDT until September 22 at 10:00AM EDT by NWS Newport/Morehead City NC* WHAT...1 to 2 feet of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.* WHERE...Areas in North Topsail Beach, along the lower NewRiver, White Oak River, Bogue and Core Sounds, and adjacenttidal creeks, and areas along the beaches, Pamlico Sound, andadjacent tidal creeks.* WHEN...Until 10 AM EDT Sunday.* IMPACTS...Up to 2 feet of inundation above ground level ispossible in some areas near shorelines and tidal waterwaysresulting in an elevated threat of property damage, mainlyaround the times of high tide.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.
