For the second CoastalFlood Advisory, from 8 PM this evening to 2 AM EDT Saturday.For the Coastal Flood Watch, from Saturday morning throughSaturday afternoon.* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Minor flooding in the more vulnerablelocations near the waterfront and shoreline. Some Roads andlow lying properties including parking lots, parks, lawns, andhomes and businesses with basements near the waterfront willexperience minor flooding. Widespread flooding possible ofvulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline, includingroads, parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes and businesses withbasements near the waterfront. Numerous road closures arepossible, and vehicles parked in vulnerable areas near thewaterfront will potentially become flooded. Flooding will alsoextend inland from the waterfront along tidal rivers and bays.* RIP CURRENT IMPACTS...Life-threatening rip currents are likelyfor all people entering the surf zone. Anyone visiting thebeaches should stay out of the surf. Rip currents can sweepeven the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The coastal flood impacts include moderatecoastal flooding possible for Saturday and potentially couldalso occur on a localized scale today. Additional rounds ofcoastal flooding around the times high tide can be expectedthrough at least the weekend.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.If you enter the surf zone, always have a flotation device withyou and swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relaxand float, and do not swim against the current. If able, swim ina direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, facethe shore and yell or wave for help.
