Flood Watch issued June 21 at 4:14AM MDT until June 22 at 6:00AM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NMThunderstorm coverage and rainfall intensity will continue todecrease through the pre-dawn hours, so the Flood Watch that was ineffect until 6 AM MDT this morning for portions of west central andnorthwest New Mexico, as well as parts of the central mountainchain, has been cancelled. A disturbance passing to the north ofNew Mexico will draw even richer subtropical moisture northward overNew Mexico this afternoon and tonight, so another Flood Watch forflash flooding is now being issued for west central and northwestareas for this afternoon through tonight, and for recent burn scarsalong the central mountain chain for this afternoon and evening.The Flash Flood Watch is cancelled for portions of north central,northwest, and west central New Mexico, including the followingareas: Northwest Plateau, Northwest and Far Northwest Highlands,Jemez Mountains, Chuska Mountains, West Central Mountains, and WestCentral Plateau.Flash flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat this morning.Please continue to heed any remaining road closures.You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take actionshould Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
