Coastal Flood Advisory issued September 19 at 5:24PM EDT until September 20 at 1:00PM EDT by NWS Upton NY* WHAT...up to one foot of inundation above ground level expectedin vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline.* WHERE...Eastern Essex and Eastern Union Counties.* WHEN...For the first Coastal Flood Advisory, from 8 PM to 11PM EDT this evening. For the second Coastal Flood Advisory,from 9 AM to 1 PM EDT Friday.* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Minor flooding in the more vulnerablelocations near the waterfront and Shoreline. Some roads andlow lying properties including parking lots, parks, lawns, andhomes and businesses with basements near the waterfront willexperience minor flooding.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Additional rounds of coastal floodingaround the times high tide can be expected through at leastthe weekend.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.
