Air Quality Alert issued November 10 at 10:25AM EST by NWS Mount Holly NJThe New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has issued anAir Quality Action day for Particulate Matter (PM2.5). Sensitiveindividuals, including those with heart or lung disease, the elderly,and the young should limit strenuous activities and the amount oftime active outdoors. Levels of fine particulates will rise into theUnhealthy for Sensitive Groups (USG) category in isolated areas ofnortheastern and southern portions of New Jersey today due towildfire smoke transport from localized wildfires throughout thestate. A low pressure system is expected to pass through the regionlater today, bringing rain showers and southwesterly winds.Additionally, ozone will remain good statewide.An Air Quality Advisory means that air quality within the region mayapproach or exceed unhealthy standards.
