For the Coastal Flood Watch,one to two feet of inundation above ground level possible inlow-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.* WHERE...Atlantic Coastal Cape May County and Coastal AtlanticCounty.* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 6 AM EDT Saturday.For the High Rip Current Risk, Friday through Saturday evening.For the Coastal Flood Watch, from Saturday morning throughSunday afternoon.* IMPACTS...At moderate flood levels, widespread roadway floodingoccurs in coastal and bayside communities and along inlandtidal waterways. Many roads become impassable. Some damage tovulnerable structures may begin to occur. Rip currents can sweepeven the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Some guidance continues to indicatemoderate coastal flooding may occur during the Friday morninghigh tide cycle. While confidence in this remains low, a short-fused warning may be issued during the next update to coverthis high tide cycle.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax andfloat. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in adirection following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face theshore and call or wave for help.
