Flood Advisory issued June 17 at 12:39AM CDT until June 17 at 3:45AM CDT by NWS North Platte NE* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.* WHERE...A portion of north central Nebraska, including thefollowing counties, Boyd, Cherry and Keya Paha.* WHEN...Until 345 AM CDT /245 AM MDT/.* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.Some low-water crossings may become impassable.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 1239 AM CDT /1139 PM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavyrain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing orexpected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and2 inches of rain have fallen.- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expectedover the area. This additional rain will result in minorflooding.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Valentine, Kilgore, Nenzel, Norden, Merritt Reservoir,Crookston, Burton, Highway 97 crossing the Niobrara River,Smith Falls State Park, Schlagel Creek State WildlifeManagement Area, Sparks, Anderson Bridge State WildlifeManagement Area, Nets Peak, Mills and Brocksburg.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/floodTurn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
