For the second Heat Advisory, from 1 PM to 7PM CDT Tuesday.* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heatillnesses.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out ofthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loosefitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morningor evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion andheat stroke.To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety andHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks inshaded or air conditioned environments. If overtopped thisflooding will impact a significant portion of Interstate 29 andHighway 136.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 9:15 AM CDT Monday the stage was 33.4 feet...or 0.6 feetbelow flood stage.- Bankfull stage is 33.0 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stagethis afternoon to a crest of 42.5 feet early Fridayafternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday, July02.- Flood stage is 34.0 feet.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
