Flood Advisory issued June 16 at 10:53PM CDT until June 17 at 1:00AM CDT by NWS Goodland KS* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessiverainfall continues.* WHERE...A portion of southwest Nebraska, including the followingcounty, Red Willow.* WHEN...Until 100 AM CDT.* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 1053 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due tothunderstorms. This will cause urban and small streamflooding. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall isexpected.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...McCook.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flooddeaths occur in vehicles.Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize thedangers of flooding.
