Coastal Flood Watch issued September 19 at 3:22PM EDT until September 20 at 6:00PM EDT by NWS Boston/Norton MA* WHAT...One to two feet of inundation above ground levelpossible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidalwaterways.* WHERE...Boston area.* WHEN...From Friday morning through Friday afternoon.* IMPACTS...Some vulnerable coastal roads become impassablearound high tide. Flooding 1 to 2 feet deep affects somecoastal roads and low lying areas from Revere and Winthropthrough Boston to Hull, Braintree, and Quincy. Splashover anddebris may wash onto coastal roads when large waves occur.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.
