Coastal Flood Advisory issued September 22 at 2:07PM EDT until September 24 at 5:00AM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC* WHAT...Two to two and half feet of inundation on above groundlevel in low lying areas due to tidal flooding.* WHERE...Shoreline in Calvert County.* WHEN...Until 5 AM EDT Tuesday, especially around the time ofhigh tide.* IMPACTS...At 3.0 feet, water is expected to reach backyardsnear 9th Street in North Beach, and could approach 9th Street.At 3.5 feet, yards are flooded near Charles Street andWilliams Street in Solomons. Nearby parking lots and thestreets themselves are covered by more than a half foot ofwater.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides one and a half to two feet abovenormal. The next high tide at Solomons Island is at 6:35 PM and6:39 AM. The next high tide at Chesapeake Beach is at 8:33 PMand 8:21 AM.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.
