Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued May 26 at 2:41PM EDT until May 26 at 3:15PM EDT by NWS Jackson KYAt 241 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a lineextending from Holliday to Keck to near Krypton to Daley, moving eastat 55 mph.HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.SOURCE...Radar indicated.IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobilehomes, roofs, and outbuildings.Locations impacted include...Hazard, Mason, Hindman, Paintsville, Estill and Prestonsburg.For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of abuilding.Intense thunderstorm lines can produce brief tornadoes and widespreadsignificant wind damage. Although a tornado is not immediatelylikely, it is best to move to an interior room on the lowest floor ofa building. These storms may cause serious injury and significantproperty damage.Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead toflash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
