Flood Advisory issued May 19 at 10:23PM CDT until May 20 at 1:30AM CDT by NWS Topeka KS* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessiverainfall is expected.* WHERE...A portion of east central Kansas, including the followingcounties, Shawnee and Wabaunsee.* WHEN...Until 130 AM CDT.* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 1022 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due tothunderstorms. This will cause urban and small streamflooding.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Topeka, Rossville, Tecumseh, Richland, Dover, Silver Lake,Auburn, Maple Hill, Willard, Pauline, Berryton and Keene.- This includes the following highways...Interstate 70 between mile markers 338 and 355.Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 167 and 185.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flooddeaths occur in vehicles.
