Flood Advisory issued May 26 at 1:04AM CDT until May 26 at 3:30AM CDT by NWS Hastings NE* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.* WHERE...A portion of north central Kansas, including the followingcounties, Jewell and Mitchell.* WHEN...Until 330 AM CDT.* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 102 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due tothunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to beginshortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rainhave fallen.- This includes the following streams and drainages...West Marsh Creek, Little Walnut Creek, Disappointment Creek,Frog Creek, Buffalo Creek, Dry Creek, Plum Creek, West AsherCreek, Solomon River, Browns Creek, East Asher Creek, LittleCheyenne Creek, Turkey Creek, Limestone Creek and MulberryCreek.Additional rainfall of less than 1 inch are expected over thearea.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Beloit, Glen Elder, Randall and Scottsville.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flooddeaths occur in vehicles.Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize thedangers of flooding.
