Flood Watch issued May 8 at 2:18PM CDT until May 9 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Paducah KY* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to bepossible.* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, including the followingareas, Alexander, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson,Johnson, Massac, Perry IL, Pope, Pulaski, Saline, Union, White andWilliamson, southwest Indiana, including the following areas,Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh and Warrick, and southeast Missouri,including the following areas, Bollinger, Cape Girardeau,Mississippi, New Madrid, Perry MO, Scott, Stoddard and Wayne MO.* WHEN...Through Thursday morning.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms will produceheavy rainfall capable of flooding commonly flood proneareas. These storms will also have a tendency to repeat theirheavy rains over the same areas.
