Surf of 15 to 20, lowering to 12 to 16feet by Saturday morning along west facing shores of Niihau,Kauai, Oahu, and Molokai. Surf of 9 to 12 feet, lowering to 7 to10 feet by Saturday morning along exposed west facing shores ofthe Big Island.* WHERE...North and west facing shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu,and Molokai, north facing shores of Maui, and west facingshores of the Big Island.* WHEN...Until 6 AM HST Saturday.* IMPACTS...Very High...Expect ocean water surging and sweepingacross beaches, coastal benches, and lava flows creating thepotential for impacts to coastal properties and infrastructure,including roadways. Powerful longshore and rip currents will bepresent at most beaches. Large breaking waves and strongcurrents may impact harbor entrances and channels causingchallenging boat handling.Stay away from the shoreline along the affected coasts. Beprepared for road closures. Postpone entering or leaving channelsaffected by the high surf until the surf subsides.
