Peak monthly tides will lead to minor coastalflooding in the typical low-lying vulnerable areas in the earlymornings.* WHAT...For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 8 to12 feet. For the Coastal Flood Statement, isolated minorcoastal flooding expected.* WHERE...For the High Surf Advisory, east facing shores of Kauai,Oahu, Molokai, Maui, and the Big island. Strongbreaking waves and strong currents will make swimming dangerous.Avoid driving through flooded roadways. If you are forced todrive through salt water, be sure to rinse your vehicle withfresh water. Move electronics, vehicles or other valuables tohigher ground. Monitor vessels to ensure mooring lines don't gettoo tight and watch out for overwash around boat ramps. Securecanoes or other watercraft stowed on beaches.Heed all advice from ocean safety officials. When in doubt, don'tgo out.

Wind Advisory issued November 14 at 2:37PM HST until November 16 at 6:00AM HST by NWS Honolulu HI* WHAT...East winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.* WHERE...Portions of Kahoolawe, Lanai, Maui, Molokai, and the BigIsland Hawaii.* WHEN...Until 6 AM HST Saturday.* IMPACTS...Winds this strong can tear off shingles, knock down treebranches, blow away tents and awnings and make it difficult tosteer, especially for drivers of high profile vehicles.Watch out for falling tree branches when walking or driving. Makesure tents and awnings are secure or take them down. Be prepared forpower outages.

Red Flag Warning issued November 14 at 2:53PM HST until November 15 at 6:00PM HST by NWS Honolulu HI...RED FLAG WARNING FOR LEEWARD AREAS OF ALL ISLANDS ON FRIDAY....The combination of dry fuels, low relative humidity and strongtrade winds will bring critical fire weather conditions forleeward sections of the state on Friday.The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Red FlagWarning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effectfrom 10 AM to 6 PM HST Friday. The Fire Weather Watch is nolonger in effect.* AFFECTED AREA...Leeward portions of all Hawaiian Islands.* TIMING...From 10 AM to 6 PM HST Friday.* WINDS...East 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 40 to 45 percent.* IMPACTS...A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity,and dry fuels can contribute to extreme fire behavior. Any firesthat develop will likely spread rapidly. A Red Flag Warning doesnot predict new fire starts.Outdoor burning is not recommended.Heat from vehicle exhaust systems can ignite dry grass. Park carson areas that are paved or where vegetation is trimmed andcleared.High winds contribute to wildfire hazard. Delay activities thatcould throw off sparks until the wind dies down.A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditionsare either occurring now or will shortly.
