Peak monthly tides will lead to minor coastalflooding in the typical low-lying vulnerable areas in the earlymornings.* WHAT...For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 8 to12 ft. For the Coastal Flood Statement, isolated minor coastalflooding.* WHERE...For the High Surf Advisory, for east facing shores ofKauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui and the Big Island. For the CoastalFlood Statement, low lying coastal areas of Kauai, Oahu,Molokai, Maui, and the Big Island.* WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory, until 6 AM HST Sunday. Forthe Coastal Flood Statement, through Monday morning.* IMPACTS...Flooding of beaches that are normally dry, minorcoastal erosion, and saltwater inundation. Moderate. Strongbreaking waves and strong currents will make swimmingdangerous.Avoid driving through flooded roadways. If you are forced todrive through salt water, be sure to rinse your vehicle withfresh water. Move electronics, vehicles or other valuables tohigher ground. Monitor vessels to ensure mooring lines don't gettoo tight and watch out for overwash around boat ramps. Securecanoes or other watercraft stowed on beaches.Heed all advice from ocean safety officials. When in doubt, don'tgo out.
