Peak monthlytides will lead to minor coastal flooding in the typical low-lying vulnerable areas in the early mornings.* WHAT...Surf of 8 to 12 ft. For the Coastal Flood Statement, acombination of surf and high water levels could produce nuisancecoastal flooding.* WHERE...Portions of Kauai, Maui, Molokai, Oahu and the BigIsland.* WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory, until 6 AM HST Monday. Forthe Coastal Flood Statement, through Monday morning.* IMPACTS...Flooding of beaches that are normally dry, minorcoastal erosion, and saltwater inundation. Moderate. Strongbreaking waves and strong currents will make swimmingdangerous.Avoid driving through flooded roadways. If you are forced todrive through salt water, be sure to rinse your vehicle withfresh water. Move electronics, vehicles or other valuables tohigher ground. Monitor vessels to ensure mooring lines don't gettoo tight and watch out for overwash around boat ramps. Securecanoes or other watercraft stowed on beaches.Heed all advice from ocean safety officials. When in doubt, don'tgo out.
