Peak monthly tides will lead to minor coastalflooding in the typical low-lying vulnerable areas in the earlymornings.* WHAT...For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 8 to12 feet. For the Coastal Flood Statement, isolated minorcoastal flooding expected.* WHERE...For the High Surf Advisory, east facing shores of Kauai,Oahu, Molokai, Maui, and the Big island. For the Coastal FloodStatement, portions of Kauai, Maui, Molokai, Oahu and the BigIsland.* WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory, until 6 AM HST Sunday. Forthe Coastal Flood Statement, from midnight HST tonight throughMonday morning.* IMPACTS...Flooding of beaches that are normally dry, minorcoastal erosion, and saltwater inundation. Moderate. Strongbreaking waves and strong currents will make swimming dangerous.Avoid driving through flooded roadways. If you are forced todrive through salt water, be sure to rinse your vehicle withfresh water. Move electronics, vehicles or other valuables tohigher ground. Monitor vessels to ensure mooring lines don't gettoo tight and watch out for overwash around boat ramps. Securecanoes or other watercraft stowed on beaches.Heed all advice from ocean safety officials. When in doubt, don'tgo out.
