Flood Watch issued September 26 at 11:21AM EDT until September 27 at 8:00AM EDT by NWS Jacksonville FL* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to bepossible.* WHERE...Portions of northern Florida, including the followingareas, Central Marion, Eastern Alachua, Eastern Hamilton,Gilchrist, Northern Columbia, Southeastern Columbia, SouthwesternColumbia, Suwannee, Western Alachua, Western Hamilton and WesternMarion and southeast Georgia, including the following areas,Atkinson, Clinch, Coffee, Echols and Jeff Davis.* WHEN...Through Friday morning.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occurin poor drainage and urban areas.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- Widespread heavy rainfall falling over a short period of timeis expected as Helene accelerates northward into the Gulf ofMexico Wednesday and eventually making landfall somewherealong the panhandle of Florida on Thursday. Tropical Storm Warning issued September 26 at 5:04PM EDT by NWS Jacksonville FL* LOCATIONS AFFECTED- Anthony- Burbank- Ocala- Weirsdale* WIND- LATEST LOCAL FORECAST: Below tropical storm force wind- Peak Wind Forecast: 25-35 mph with gusts to 60 mph- THREAT TO LIFE AND PROPERTY THAT INCLUDES TYPICAL FORECASTUNCERTAINTY IN TRACK, SIZE AND INTENSITY: Potential for wind 39to 57 mph- The wind threat has remained nearly steady from theprevious assessment.- PLAN: Plan for hazardous wind of equivalent tropical stormforce.- PREPARE: Remaining efforts to protect property should becompleted as soon as possible. Prepare for limited winddamage.- ACT: Move to safe shelter before the wind becomes hazardous.- POTENTIAL IMPACTS: Limited- Damage to porches, awnings, carports, sheds, and unanchoredmobile homes.
