For the Coastal FloodWatch, Saturday afternoon.* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Widespread flooding of vulnerableareas near the waterfront and shoreline, including roads,parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes and businesses withbasements near the waterfront. Numerous road closures arelikely, and vehicles parked in vulnerable areas near thewaterfront will likely become flooded. Flooding will alsoextend inland from the waterfront along tidal rivers and bays.* RIP CURRENT IMPACTS...Life-threatening rip currents are likelyfor all people entering the surf zone. Anyone visiting thebeaches should stay out of the surf. Rip currents can sweepeven the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The widespread coastal flood impacts referto the warning level coastal flooding expected today andpotentially could also occur Saturday.
