Request to limit driving gas and diesel-powered vehicles is now in effect until at least 4 p.m. Wednesday,June 12, 2024. Very warm and generally stagnant weatherconditions will allow ozone concentrations to possibly reach theUnhealthy for Sensitive Groups both Tuesday and Wednesday duringthe afternoons and early evenings, especially for southwesternparts of the Denver metro area northward along the foothills toaround Golden. For areas included in this advisory that are notexpected to reach the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (USG) airquality designation, we request that activities, such as drivingnon-ZEV vehicles (i.e., gas or diesel), be reduced to lessen theimpacts on neighboring air quality. Additional air pollution inthis region may directly worsen air quality or contribute toprecursors which may also adversely affect air quality.
