Youngchildren and pets should never be left unattended in vehiclesunder any circumstances.Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. Whenpossible reschedule strenuous activities to early morning orevening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heatstroke. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing whenpossible. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the OccupationalSafety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequentrest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Fire Weather Watch issued September 30 at 12:53PM PDT until October 3 at 8:00PM PDT by NWS San Francisco CA...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS FOR PORTIONS OF INTERIORMONTEREY COUNTY WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY WITH DRY AND GUSTY OFFSHOREWINDS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP....Gusty north-northeast winds are expected to develop Wednesday andlast into Thursday across interior portions of Monterey county,including the Santa Lucia, Los Padres National Forest, and thesouthern Salinas Valley. A dry airmass already in place will besubject to these gusty offshore winds of 20-30 mph, promotingfurther drying with daytime minimum humidity as low as 10%. Poorovernight recovery will also be a factor, with maximum RH in the15-30% range each Wednesday and Thursday mornings.
