Forthe High Surf Advisory, until 11 AM PST Saturday.* IMPACTS...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, flooding of lots,parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected.Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beacherosion. For the High Surf Advisory, dangerous swimming andsurfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Large wavescan sweep across the beach without warning, pulling peopleinto the sea from rocks, jetties and beaches. Sudden immersionin cold water can result in cold water shock even for the mostexperienced swimmers. Cold water shock can result in dramaticchanges in breathing, heart rate and blood pressure, greatlyincreasing the risk of drowning in rough open waters.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due todangerous surf conditions.
