Excessive Heat Watch issued June 13 at 1:03AM MST until June 16 at 8:00PM MST by NWS Tucson AZ* WHAT...For the Excessive Heat Warning and Excessive Heat Watch,dangerously hot conditions with temperatures 105 to 110.* WHERE...Upper Gila River Valley.* WHEN...For the Excessive Heat Warning, until 8 PM MST thisevening. For the Excessive Heat Watch, from Saturday morningthrough Sunday evening.* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly duringextreme heat events.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out ofthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loosefitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morningor evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion andheat stroke.To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety andHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks inshaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heatshould be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is anemergency! Call 9 1 1.Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. Whenpossible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning orevening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heatstroke. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when possibleand drink plenty of water.
