Air Quality Alert issued January 8 at 10:15AM MST by NWS Tucson AZAQATWCThe Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) has issued aPM-10 High Pollution Advisory for Nogales through Wednesday.An episode of strong and gusty winds is forecast to generatewidespread blowing dust that may result in local PM-10 concentrationsthat pose a health risk. Adverse health effects increase as airquality deteriorates.Coarse particulate matter - also known as PM-10 - is an aircontaminant that can aggravate heart and lung disease conditions,especially in older adults, children, and those with asthma. For the second Freeze Warning, from 10 PM Thursday to 10AM MST Friday.* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured outdoor objects.Tree limbs could be blown down.
