A polar low has Sunday around noon developed southwest of Bear Island. The polar low will move south, later southeast towards northern Nordland. At midnight the polar low is expected near the coast north of Lofoten. In the southwestern part of the polar low north severe gale force 9 is expected, Sunday evening northwest storm force 10, late Sunday evening veering west. The polar low will weaken late Monday morning. Abrupt change in wind speed and wind direction. It can be difficult to navigate due to snow, blowing snow and reduced visibility. Some journeys may have longer travel time. It can be locally difficult driving conditions due to heavy snowfall in combination with wind. The power supply may be impacted.Be aware of abrupt weather changes. Avoid unnecessary journeys to exposed places. Consider whether the journey is necessary. Check road reports (175.no).
